Family: I was born and raised right here in the heart of the Flint Hills. I went to school at Paxico grade and continued my education in Alma at Wabaunsee HS. From there I attended Kansas State University and pursued a degree in education. I started my teaching career at USD 329 and continue to teach in my local district. Even though I say I bleed purple and white, I actually have a great pride for our Chargers. My husband and all three of my children have also attended Wabaunsee High School. My husband, Joe Capoun, was raised in Alma. He continues to ranch on his families land. Curtis is a freshman at Kansas State University, Wade is a junior and Samantha is a sophomore at WHS.
